The woman behind the welcome

Mariana was born in Colombia, where hospitality isn't taught — it's inherited. She grew up surrounded by women who understood that caring for someone is a language: her grandmothers Cecilia, María Elvira, Isabel, and Silvia. Each had their own way of making people feel at home — a perfectly set table, a bed prepared with care, flowers from the garden, coffee ready before you woke up.

When she moved to Mexico City, she fell in love with its energy, its contradictions, its neighborhoods that feel like small towns inside a metropolis. Anzures became home — not the flashiest corner of the city, but the most real. She brought with her that Colombian instinct for warmth, and she found it mirrored in the Mexican tradition of making guests feel like family.

After years in design, she realized what she really wanted to build was not a space, but a feeling — the one she had as a child arriving at her grandmother's house in Colombia. That door opening. That smell of something cooking. That sense that someone had been thinking about you before you arrived.

Casa Caravana is the result. Four residences in a classic Mexican casa in the Anzures neighborhood, each carrying the name and personality of one of those grandmothers. Not as a tribute on a wall, but as a living philosophy shaped by two cultures that share one belief: that how you welcome someone says everything about who you are.

What Mariana personally takes care of

• 48 hours before your arrival: WiFi credentials, building access code, parking details, and her personal phone number — everything you need, no surprises
• A curated neighborhood guide on your nightstand — her favorite restaurants, cafés, markets, and hidden corners of Anzures and Polanco
• Hotel-quality linens, selected by hand. She notices thread count the way some people notice wine
• Fresh coffee in your kitchen. Local, roasted in small batches, ready for your first morning
• Plants in every corner — because her grandmothers taught her that a home without green things isn't really alive
• Baby kit (crib, bath, high chair) prepared before you arrive — just ask in advance
